After reading Black Elk Speaks, by
John G. Neihardt, the artist became immersed in the importance
of rendering dignity to the Native Americans, a people who suffered
great injustice during the settlement of the west. His newest
series includes small bronze busts of Wounded Warrior, Arapaho
Indians and Chief Red Cloud. |
